 Hi neighbors,
Today, please join us for a walking tour of the neighborhood at 6:45 pm. We'll meet at Hacienda Park and walk from there to the greenbelt. The theme of this walking tour is "Imagine and Explore" -- and that's exactly what we'll do. With clipboards in hand, we'll look at each of the sites that neighbors have suggested for the street mural. In each location, we'll stop and imagine what it would be like to have that location transformed by place-making art. Along the way, we'll notice our surroundings, learn how different people use the space, and write down any concerns. This walking tour will give the resident Creative Action Team all the info they need to decide which sites are feasible -- and then we'll start talking to adjacent households to see where the site is invited by residents. Join us for a fun (and informative) way to explore the neighborhood. You'll make new friends, see the neighborhood with fresh eyes, and create new stories about the place we live. If you're running late -- feel free to join up with us on the greenbelt. You can look for small group of people with a few clipboards in hand. Kids welcome to attend, but the activity is more adult-oriented. Oh -- and this is a good time to mention that we're still looking for volunteers to help with the location selection process (sifting through surveys, talking to neighbors) -- you can email [email protected] to offer help REMINDER: Mural Location Survey #1 closes today.
