Forest For the Trees #1
Voices from the Olympic Peninsula grieving the Penny Wise clearcut and all Forest lost
Inner Voice #2
Watercolor and pen on paper, 5 1/2" wide by 5" tall
This painting is part of a series called "The Inner Voice", in which I illustrate the many strange things my brain says to me, each and every day. Some people find this series a little heavy, but for me it's a practice in self-compassion. When I see the voice outside of myself, I can talk back to it, kid around, comfort, or ignore. The Inner Voice is me laughing at myself. I never know what shape the voice will take until I put the pen on the paper, but they are all a part of me.
The Situation #2
